Instructor threw everything at this bag for 2 years until wheels came off! What a beast of a bag!
I got this bag as an instructor and I teach a lot! Have used this bag for both indoor and outdoor lessons and I got a foam cradle that holds 5 pistols and it still has so much room and pockets that fit everything I need for large group lessons. PROS: - My god, the durable design! I've rolled this thing over gravel, up and down flights of stairs with 1000rd ammo in it. Worn the wheels down to just the nubs in the past 2 years and it still keeps going! The handle is quite strong too and hasn't bent or shown any sort of weakness with me hauling heavy loads. - Pockets and storage galore! The main compartment is cavernous! Besides the 5 gun foam cradle, I've also fit other pistol cases next to it...can hold almost 10 handguns at times. I especially like the one pocket that's got a plastic inner lining, to keep either gun cleaning solvents or de-lead soap or eye glass spray....stuff I won't need to worry if it leaks out. - While other bags I considered are top opening when it's sitting on its wheels, this one has it's opening on the side so you need to lay the bag down flat. I wasn't sure about this until I got the bag and started using it...this is actually more convenient design because it's so much easier to just lay it down and have a big opening that's easier to access everything inside, especially if you want to put it on a bench or table at the range. CONS (all of these are just minor to me): - The shoulder strap is useless so I cut it off. - This is not specific to this bag but to any rolling bag...the corner edges/pockets near the wheels drag along the ground and will eventually wear holes in them. I would try to find a way to protect the corners better from the wear and tear. - While there are tons of magazine holders stitched inside, it seemed too cumbersome for me to squeeze them in and out, but others might find them useful. - Even though the small velcro flaps on the outer small pockets don't always stay totally closed, amazingly nothing has fallen out (including my electronic ear buds). I had forgotten where I originally bought this 1st bag, so I searched online high and low until I found it again here on Amazon! Buying a 2nd bag to replace the 1st one without any hesitation!
